Employment Opportunities
NYCHA REES wants to hear from you!
REES is surveying NYCHA residents to learn more about your goals and interests. Your participation will help REES evaluate and tailor our offerings to best suit the needs of you and your household. In 2022, your feedback enabled us to expand the REES portfolio to continue to connect you with services that matched your indicated interests in employment, business start-up and development, financial planning and savings, adult education, and job training.
This included launching 5 new REES partnerships and creating new NYCHA initiatives such as the NYCHA Clean Energy Academy. The survey is brief and takes about 5-10 minutes to complete. We will be accepting responses through August 15, 2023. Take the survey here.

Mental Health Advocates: Application Now Open
The Academy for Community Behavioral Health, with the CUNY SPS Youth Studies program, Mayor’s Office for Economic Opportunity (NYC Opportunity), and HRA Work Progress Program (WPP), is pleased to announce that applications are now open for the Youth Mental Health Advocate program.
Between Sep 2023-Jun 2024, this program will fund 25 part-time youth advocates who will be trained to deliver mental health support to young people at NYC community-based organizations.
Applications are now open for NYC non-profit organizations that deliver services to youth and young people to host youth mental health advocates.
This program is open to NYC nonprofit organizations that already deliver services to youth and young adults.
Through WPP, HRA will reimburse youth service providers for wages or stipends paid to the youth mental health advocates.
Funding is available for a total of 25 advocates to work 15 hours/week between Sep 2023-Jun 2024 at the rate of $20/hour.
