Mission Statement
The mission of the Lexington House Resident Council is to preserve and improve affordable housing by educating our tenants of their rights and obligations as stakeholders and as a means of developing tenant empowerment, a sense of ownership and pride. The Resident Council looks to improve the quality of life for all our residents ensuring they receive essential services at all times.
The Resident Council looks to identify problems/needs shared by residents and work together to find viable solutions. The Resident Council’s aim is to increase overall tenant participation and involvement bringing diverse and representative groups together with the shared focus of improving the quality of life for the whole community. Our focus is to ensure that seniors can age in place, youth services are provided to our youth and that every household has access to Wi-Fi services to keep up with technology.
The Lexington Houses Resident Council encourages all tenants to be involved regardless of age, disability, marriage or civil partnership, gender reassignment, pregnancy and maternity race, religion or belief, sex, sexual orientation where, we, The Resident Council, can provide whatever support is needed.
